Requiring CVC codes is very important in ensuring your payments succeed. If you don't require them, your payments are going fail a lot and you'll be chasing guests for payment or cancelling reservations. You'll need to make a request from the Booking.com extranet to require CVC codes for all reservations. Here's how to do it:

How to follow up on failed payments from the pipeline

If you have requested the CVC code be required from Booking.com, but every once in a while payments fail, it's normal, and you will want to send the guest a payment request directly from the pipeline.

Hostfully cannot help obtain the CVC code for specific resevations since we do not save them for PCI compliance reasons. We pass financial info to the payment processor and that's it.

Here is how to send a payment request from the pipeline.

This will take them through the Hostfully booking flow and allow you to process they payment successfully.

How to turn of automatic payments for Booking.com

If you want to handle payments manually, please ask Hostfully support and let us know the reason. This is a very rare request as it adds manual work and complexity. It will allow the PMs to view the CC details in the Booking.com Extranet and process manually, instead of sending over to Hostfully and us passing it to the integrated payment processor.

For this option, please note that confirmed reservations from Booking.com come unpaid, and PMs will need to process payments manually and mark reservations paid as needed. (instructions on lead management).
