Setting up the Hostfully Search Widget

Hostfully's white labeling capabilities allow users to set up their custom branding for all messages and pages that are customer facing (essentially, communication and pages that cater to property owners, guests and third party providers).

LEVEL 1: Branding the Hostfully Property Management Platform

(this feature applies to all accounts)

Please navigate to Agency Settings to get started!

The first level of customization is applied when you enter your business name and upload your business logo (field "Company Logo").

If Square: 40px x 40px (1:1 ratio) or Rectangle: 40px x 150px (4:15 ratio)

Once you save the settings, the logo will appear at the top of the page by your business name as well as in all templates and on your customer pages (owner dashboard, guest dashboard, public listings on Hostfully).

LEVEL 2: Customize your direct booking site

(this feature applies to all accounts)

Please navigate to Agency Setting > Direct Booking Website

This second level of customization lets you select the hero image for your direct booking site, as well as the headline and sub-headline. The image cannot exceed 20MB.

The headline and the sub-headline appear over the hero image. The default text is white which will stand out against a dark image. If your image is light you can change the CSS to have the text black. If you don’t want to have a headline or sub-headling then make sure the fields are empty. To modify the CSS, see Level 3 below.

LEVEL 3: Branding URLs

(this feature applies to Pro accounts and above. Starter accounts don't have Footer HTML, CSS URL, Meta HTML, Favicon)

This level of customization gives you your own web domain to customize the URLs sent by Hostfully. For example, if your website is https://www.my site.com/, then the Hostfully login page seen by your users could be https://rentals.mysite.com/ (you would use "rentals" as a sub-domain on Hostfully) and the login page would show your own logo instead of Hostfully's). Note that your subdomain will have a secure HTTPS access for this to work, as we only support secured communication for this setup.

To have your own secured domain name used in the URLs produced by Hostfully, see HTTPS Custom Domains with Hostfully and Cloudflare.

Once saved, open Hostfully's Agency Settings page and follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "White Labeling" tab,
  2. Check the box "White labelled public pages",
  3. Enter the full URL that includes the sub-domain you just created

EXAMPLE: imagine you created a sub-domain called "rentals" for your domain “mysite.com”. You would enter https://rentals.mysite.com.

You can also add your own logo as the Favicon on the direct website by uploading a photo.

To use Google Analytics, you’ll enter your Google Analytics ID in the field shown and configure in Google - https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/provision/#/provision

For Search Engine Optimization (SEO), you can use the Meta HTML field to add your specific "meta keywords" and "meta description" fields (enter the whole meta tags in there). Note that the Hostfully system will automatically set the page <title> tag with the name of your company.

Once the custom domain is set up, all the URLs in the system will automatically adapt to your branding. For example, your login page would be http://rentals.mysite.com/login.jsp and would display your logo, just like in this example below:

The interface of your owners portal will also be branded with your URL and your logo:

and in all the emails created and processed by the system:
